Extreme Sailing Series partner up with VSR France for Nice

Again this year, the organization of the Extreme Sailing Series has chosen VSR France for the supply of 4 VSR ribs for their umpires.

The French event will be hosted in Nice from 30th September-2nd October 2011 where the crowd will be able to watch the action live from the Promenade des Anglais !!!

We are all very much looking forward for this exiting event with some thrilling action from the water.

The latest VSR 5.8R has arrived in France. It’s now lighter and stronger!

We have equipped the 5.8R with the latest and greatest Yamaha F70A!

Yamaha’s four stroke F70A was billed as one of the most significant new motor introductions in the last ten years. The reason the release of this motor caused so much excitement was the fact that the F70A weighs only 9 kilograms more than the carburetted two stroke motor of corresponding horse power, a remarkable achievement and a great step forward in mid-range four stroke design.

This allows the new VSR 5.8R to be even more powerful and more reliable when you get to face tough sea water conditions.

This perfect alliance makes it ”the most wanted coach boat” on the 2011 ISAF Sailing circuit!

C’est la 3ème année que l’organisation de la SOF a choisi VSR France pour mettre à disposition nos semi-rigides VSR pour les arbitres de la semaine olympique dans la baie de Hyères.

Nous sommes fière d’être choisi entant que partenaire local pour un évènement de telle ampleur qui regroupe plus de 600 athlètes venant de 60 nations. Ainsi nous souhaitant bon vent à tous les coureurs!

It’s the third year that the organization of the SOF has chosen VSR France to supply them our VSR ribs for their umpires and judges during the olympic sailing week in Hyères.

We are very proud to be chosen as a local partner for such an important sailing event with over 600 athletes coming from over 60 nations worldwide. We wish all sailors a great sailing week and fair winds!

The COYCH organization in Hyères has chosen VSR ribs provided by VSR France for their great maneuverability and soft handling in rough water conditions!

The C.O.Y.C.H sailing club aims to train competitors for the regatta and raise them to the highest level.
They also organise a great number of international recognized events such as the Farr 30 Worlds, Melges 24 Worlds & Europeans and many Lasers regattas all year round.

We are happy to present you the latest console available for the 5.4 and 5.8R

It is the replacement console for the ‘’Daily coach office console’’ that used to be available as an option on the VSR 5.8R

You will notice that not only the shape of the console is new, with more storage room and place to put an auxiliary gas tank but also the position of the driver seat has slightly changed, with a better upright position while driving the boat.

This console is only available as an option on the 5.4 and the 5.8R!

VSR coachboats for the first 2010 Extreme 40 sailing event

After having supplied a total of 8 VSR during the Sailing Olympic Week in Hyeres, better known as SOF, from the 23^rd until the 30^th April, we are proud to announce that we will be providing again this year 2 VSR 5.8 Coach for the Umpires of the upcoming first Extreme 40 event of this year’s Series.

The event will be held in Sète in Southern France from 27^th-30^th May 2010.

OC Events, owner and organizer of the award-winning Extreme Sailing Series, have choosen VSR coachboats for their maneuverability and wave-piercing abilities whenever the Med starts to get rough under Mistral conditions.
We are looking forward to supply our ribs to such a thrilling and exiting event like the Extreme 40’s!

‘VSR 5.8R is developed in cooperation with RYA with great attention to detail. Perfect for all coaching conditions and boat classes.’
This model incorporates the popular benefits of existing VSR ribs, and the rich coaching experience of the RYA. The hull shape and wave-piercing abilities of the 5.8R mean soft, dry rides that provide more comfort and less backache for professionals who spend lots of time on the water. Best performance and low fuel consumption is obtained with a 60 HP engine.
